Ladies Church Group
Is your school, church, or other organization looking for a place to learn about Kentucky's pioneer history?
At Mullins Log Cabin 9 miles southeast of Williamstown, Kentucky, we offer an educational pioneer program.
Your students will learn how the pioneers lived on a daily basis, and will be allowed to participate in the following:
Grinding corn to feed chickens Feeding chickens Use scrubbing board to wash clothes & hang on line Learn to weave a stool or basket Learn the uses of wild plantsAdult tours are more oriented toward the uses of wild plants, and demonstrations of chair weaving, and basket making, using natural materials from nature. Schedule your group tour by calling 859-322-3082 or by email -
Please note:
2017 prices have changed. It's still a very resonable fee of $5.00 per person for your group tours. I like a group of at least 10, and no more than 25. If more than 25, your groups will be divided into smaller groups for each program. If you would like lunch served, please add an additional $5.00 per person.
Attention teachers & Parents who home school your children
I realize that your budgets have probably been cut, and money is very tight. However, for only $5.00 per person, you will find your money will be spent wisely. If your class is studying Kentucky history,
Mullins Log Cabin is a perfect place to bring your children to experience first hand an original 1850s log cabin in rural Grant County. We are only 45 minutes from the Florence area, and the same for the opposite direction of the Lexington area. Your children will learn how the pioneers lived, and the plants they used for food and medicine. They will learn how to wash clothes on a washboard, observe how baskets were made of willow, and take part in grinding corn and feeding chickens.
So make your reservations very soon for our Spring program. Workshops will begin again in April
